The Story Behind Bossy Pants

I’ve always been driven by a desire to give back to others, believing deeply that success is most meaningful when it’s shared within a community. I firmly believe in the power of connection—humans thrive when we come together in collaboration rather than competition. In an environment that fosters collective growth, when one person wins, everyone benefits. I also believe that our strengths can often be our blind spots. When we build healthy communities where we feel safely connected, the people around us can reflect our unique gifts back to us, helping us recognize and embrace them. In turn, when we support others in realizing their potential, it creates a full-circle effect that allows us to grow and thrive alongside them.

To me, there’s incredible beauty in reciprocity. It’s in those moments of mutual support and shared growth that we find the deepest level of fulfillment.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have a strong intuitive instinct. There have been countless times in my life when, logically, my choices didn’t make sense on paper, but I had an unwavering sense that I needed to follow them anyway. To this day, that intuition has never misled me. Using this gift with my clients is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. I can deeply sense what a client should be focusing on or identify what’s not working without needing mountains of evidence to back it up— it just is. The magic lies in trusting, knowing and guiding clients toward their next steps with confidence.

Beyond that, I love teaching clients to lean into their own intuition and feelings. It’s a powerful way to help them move past overthinking and self-doubt. In my experience, tuning into intuition is the antidote to the “freeze” response in business. By trusting the principle of “first thought, best thought” they can act with greater clarity and ease.

Zoom out! When you’re overwhelmed, it’s easy to fixate on all the little things about your business that feel imperfect or unfinished. This can quickly turn your “to-do” list into an overwhelming mountain of tasks, making it feel like you’ll never get ahead. When everything starts to feel chaotic and unclear, the best thing you can do is take a step back and look at the bigger picture.

Why did you start your business in the first place? Who is your target audience, and what are they truly seeking? How does your business align with your personal life right now? Bigger-picture reflection often brings immense clarity about where to focus your time, energy, and resources. Stepping back allows you to reconnect with your purpose and priorities. It’s like taking a deep breath!

My background in social work and service-based roles has given me profound insight into working with people from all walks of life. I have a deep understanding of how individuals, families, communities, and larger systems influence one another, as well as the nuanced ways in which human needs can be both complex and beautifully simple.

Being a social worker taught me to be incredibly resourceful and resilient. I’ve learned that there’s no such thing as a dead-end—when something needs to happen, you find a way, even when the path forward isn’t immediately clear. This experience also developed my adaptability and patience, which are crucial when guiding clients through periods of uncertainty and change. It’s about meeting people where they are and pacing progress in a way that feels manageable and sustainable.

As a coach, I strive to neutralize the power dynamic and let my clients lead. I firmly believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you recognize your unique gifts, understand your needs, and unlock your potential. I work for you—you don’t work for me.
